  Cedar Park Cemetery was once a beautiful park like atmosphere. For many years now it has gone down hill. The roads are all broken up with huge pot holes. The grass is mowed infrequently leaving large piles of dead grass everywhere. There are numerous dead trees on the property. There are supposed to be American Flags lining the entrance way. The everlasting flame hasn't worked for years and years! The fence around the property is broken in areas and looks terrible! The sign on the corner....who the heck picked that paint color green? Was this color on sale or something....it is terrible! The "church" on the property is falling down...I don't think they could house a memorial in the building. I am appalled that my family members are laid to rest in these deplorable conditions! I think the area television news teams need to check this place out just like they did Burr Oak Cemetery....after all it was once owned by the same company. I wish I could move my family to another cemetery but we all know that is very expensive and difficult to do. Shame on you Cedar Park for not keeping up with grounds! You should all be ashamed of yourselves....I always say....Karma will bite you back.

  I am ashamed to say that I used to work there. The people that managed the place did the best they could given what little they had to work with. They owed money to every vendor. They owed money to the monument companies, Matthews being one of them, and the headstones were being held hostage because cedar park owed them money and they weren't releasing the headstones until they were paid. These headstones were paid for years ago by the families so when it came time to order them, it became a huge mess. The place was in financial ruin. The director they had in charge was stealing from the funeral home she worked at in st Louis. I have all kinds of stories. Stay away from this place!
